Beijing Capital International Airport (IATA: PEK, ICAO: ZBAA), also known as Beijing Airport, is the main international airport serving Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China. Located 32 km (20 mi) northeast of Beijing’s city center, it is the second-busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic.
History
- Opened in 1958, Beijing Capital International Airport was the first modern airport in China.
